Thanks Lee, I wasn't sure. But maybe he has a single fire and should be using a dual, but again, it's pure guessing on my part as to whether that would cause the issue he's having. The more I think about it the more it probably might not matter. But the coil obviously shouldn't get that hot.

As far as too lean making the coil too hot, since the coil isn't attached to the engine I doubt it's picking up enough radiant heat to be that.

I figured out the issue on the loss of power at WOT....I hope anyways! The bike was repainted before I got it. Going over everything, I noticed the vent had been painted over. I took it down to the shop near me, because when it comes to electrical, if its not a loose wire, or a broken connection, Im out. I wanted to see what they said about the WOT issue too, they had just set the carb on it there about a month ago now, so first thing he started was looking at fuel lines, and then saw the same thing I did, the plugged vent.

Now, once the bike is running again, I will hopefully have an answer as to the WOT issue. Next on the list (after getting it running) is getting the speedometer working again.

Thanks again for all the idea's. I will let you know what it turns out to be.
