Does anyone know what size grips

Hey guys I am looking around for new grips but I am not sure what size to look for. This is an 02 Pro Sport so I am not sure if Big Dogs newer grips would fit. I think 04 and up are probably a larger size. Does anyone know ?

pull one off and take it to your local Harley shop and check the size against some of there's. you might get lucky.

Any time I ask them for something you have to know a year, style of HD or part number or you get a real dumb look.

I guess I'm lucky and have a Harley shop with a great parts guy that is willing to help you sort out any issues .

Yea you are for sure. I guess I could try one of the other HD dealers that is a little further drive.

In the 3 posts that is what i was hinting at. Guess i should have been more blunt and 2 the point

ALL Big dog 2004 and up (bikes that have the BDM OEM handlebars) are 1.25" grips, so be careful when ordering...There are a few aftermarket vendors out there that make grips for our bikes....DLXPROX is one of them (I personally like theirs), but there are some others...otherwise, give curtis at www.Wildsteedworx.com a visit/call...or call derek and donna....

I’m pretty sure almost all of the Harley grips will fit your handlebars. Good luck shopping and please post a picture of your new grips once you get them on the bike.

Thanks Paco and Marc , I ended up ordering a nice pair that look a lot like what I have already. All of the chrome is flaking off my old ones.

They do look good. I need them in 1.25" for my 2004

I finally received these but they are not going to workout. They are about an inch longer and much larger in diameter at the ends where they fit under the switch housings. So the hunt continues.

I finally broke down and got a stock set from Donna & Derek for my 2004 chop. Very nice to deal with them. Also you know they are going to fit your bike. Thanks Donna, on ebay as shovelheadkicker or 620-257-2009
They currently have a used set on Ebay.

I called Donna first when I started looking and they don't have the same ones that are on my bike. Its seems most of the 1 inch grips are longer and fatter now. I might pull them off and heat up the rubber strips to get them off easy and then send the grips out to get re-chromed.
