I am searching for a critical fastner list for a 2010 Bulldog but have not been able to find one. If anyone has a list of which fastners need to be checked can you please let me know where I can find the list and the torgue values. Thanks

Bump!

I think this is my first post in technical. And that's because there's so much easy-to-find info on BDB that a search has given me everything I need... Until now.

So J1956 asked it, but no one answered...

To the folks who have been riding Big Dogs the longest, what tends to vibrate loose the most? I stopped at the Wing House for some grub and my license plate was facing the ground. So I've found one that needed some loctite blue. I've already redone the hand control set screws, the upside down just-dying-to-fall-out gas tank fasteners... What else?

Battery terminal screws???
Does that head light beauty ring ever vibrate loose?
Anything under the oil tank covers?

I've got an 07 Chopper. Any forewarning would be appreciated.

I had my headlight mounting block come loose. Only part that has succumbed to vibration on the K9.

My thinking is I'll look for things like this while cleaning the bike off and before long trips.

Unfortunately I do not have my torque with me at this time, however things to specifically watch for are:

1. Battery wires
2. Battery wires
3. Motor Mounts (check them ever so often during oil changes, bottom mount, tube mount and the head mounts)
4. Brake caliber mounts (check also)
5. Battery terminals
6. Headlight mount (check once a year or so-use loctite)
7. Controls
8. Tag Light
9. Exhaust mounts
10. Battery Terminals
11. Tank moutns

Did I mention battery terminals by chance. Check those everytime before riding during pre ride check, more electrical problems seem to start out with loose connections-keep a 10mm wrench in tool bag)

Thanks for the feedback all. :up: I have been checking a lot of the fasteners and found these lose with about 500 miles on the clock.

* 2 loose transmission bolts
* Front Fender to the fork was almost all the way out
* Top motor mount

I need to check the battery tomorrow.
