Does an '05 chopper have self-canceling turn signals?

This 2005 chopper I'm working on doesn't seem to have self-canceling turn signals, they are just staying on. Is this an EHC function or is it done by the boards in the bars? I'm pretty sure my 2004 were self canceling?

Yep 2004 are self cancelling (time based) and I'm sure the 05 are as well. If the brake is on they will stay on. Maybe you have an open circuit.

I have the 2005 BD Chopper and yes the turns are self canceling and no they won't if the brake lite is stuck on, as I'm having the same trouble with my bike.:bang:

Any dealership can adjust the duration of the time the lights stay on for.

Mine used to be 20 seconds and I had the knock it down to 10 seconds.

Ya, what they said.

Signal cancel is a function of the EHC. The factory default is 10 flashes when the bike is in gear and the brake is not pressed, on some of the older models I have seen +/- 1 flash. The ehc can be accessed and the flash rate can be changed or it can even be disabled so they will never cancel. You have already said and I am sure you would notice if your brake lights stayed on, and the neutral light should stay on if it thought it was in neutral. I would lean towards the fact someone have the EHC reprogrammed.
