When I posted that they where the same, (MY BAD) it wasn't until a day or 2 later that I found the picture of the RIP II. and if you look back on the post's, I had mentioned that maybe you would weigh in on this, Jwooky made it sound like you just plug into the 2 EHC connectors and your done, its not. Plug n Play in my mind would be to disconnect the 2 connectors on the EHC and plug 2 connectors back into a new module and your done. But if its the way you have stated: "Okay so you have to unplug a couple more connectors than just two but it doesn't make it not Plug N Play." then by those rules, the ESC would also be Plug n Play. And yes you don't have to replace the backbone harness, but for the same price its a bonus to get that harness.
I have no financial or any other benefit to the ESC or any other vendor on here, I'm just letting other bikers know there are other options out there.
As far as a scare tactic on the headlight, there have been many members over the years that have melted their headlight plug and yes by upgrading to a cooler LED is the way to go, I've received a LED bulb from you almost 2 years ago, the pictures on your website of the difference in the headlight bulbs is in fact of my 3 car garage because I posted those pictures, great bulb.
I understand you don't manufacture the RIP II, but there are still issues with it, like the guy that posted above about his high and low beam not working for 5 weeks and his mechanic could not get any help. I don't know the specifics other than what he posted, so is there still a quality issue? Terminals properly terminated do not fall off, I designed Crimp tooling for Hand Tools, Mini Applicators and high speed Lead making machinery for 42 yrs.
I'm sure this is not Axel's first rodeo with these type of boxes, but in the short amount of time that he's been working on it, he has come a long way and like you, I wish him luck and success with this because if he would have had this unit a year ago I would be running one of them in my bike. Recently when you checked out my EHC you told me they are prone to fail the cold start test, maybe his don't have that component in them. And when someone hooks a battery up wrong, well what can ya say, shit is going to happen.
"If you have a true bitch or complaint because you were screwed over and you were denied the help you needed thats one thing but to slip and slide around here like so many have been doing to try and trash others is bullshit, cowardly and assinine."
I have no clue what that comment above would pertain to?
However, If I have trashed or gave anyone the impression that I'm better than them, I will be the first to appologize, all my intention was to inform other members that there are other options and will continue to do so.
This is not a rant and I am no way upset, I have purchased many things from you in the past and will continue to purchase things in the future.
