I wash mine all time! Never a problem. I'm just careful not to get the batttery comparment wet (usually stuff it and cover it with a towel). Then use a 4-hp air force dryer to blast the water away when finished (Alittle expensive, but definitely one of the handiest damn things I ever bought!). Sometimes have to relube clutch lever and shifter linkage pivots when done. But other than that, never a problem.

I live on a dirt road. I have no choice. I have to wash it. Way too much crude on it to just wipe it off. I'm real careful not to spray the electronics under the seat. I don't spray water on the lights or the hand controls if I can help it.

I wash mine all the time!! I used to be careful not to get the hand controls and spedo wet due to my signal lights doing wierd shit for 24 hours after a wash, but then found a connector plug below my cam/timing cover that didnt have dieelectric grease and wasnt shrinkwrapped. fixed that and now i get everything wet and no problems since!! Of course i blow everything off right away to prevent rust.:2thumbs::2thumbs:

I wash my bike once a year, usually after it comes back from a service. But I cover the handle bars with a large trash bag, which also covers the hand controls, speedo, and headlight. I also cover the battery, and electronic compartment with a plastic bag as well, never had any issues.

I wash it several times a yr. Especially when back from Daytona. The salt air leaves a salt deposit you can't help. I'm just careful with electronics and hand controls etc. I also use a leaf blower to dry her off.
