good catch...yea there was a ramp, she overshot it bad....why were they jumping on asphalt???ill bet she always practiced on dirt...
Ya got a point there. :lol:Shit, she can bleed for a week out of a month and still survive, what's a face plant from 30'?
:2thumbs::2thumbs: Me too.:up:I too did some racing, think you ment to say...if you hit the throttle in mid air that brings the front up, tap the brake, front end down. If you listen she did hit the throttle, she was just too inexperienced to perform this kind of a jump.
By the way, I did wear a helmet while racing because I rode on the edge all the time with others running balls out all around you.
your are correct on both, the ramp was there. she just landed 10' to far behind and 10' to the left of it. Even if she would have had the distance correct, she would missed the landing ramp.due to drifting left. As for the rotation it has been 12 yrs since I raced motocross on my KTM 250 but I had it backwards rpm stops rotation when noseing in. Break tap will throw the nose down.:up:If you look closely there is a landing ramp(look at the lower left corner of vid)
She over shot the whole thing.
Really?? I've always thought just the opposite happens.
Braking would drop the nose, gassing would drop the rear.
Do an internet search and you'll see.
Real bad video to watch either way. Any injury on a motorcycle sucks on the street or in the dirt. I hope someone who was thinking about this type of jump learns something from the video. Leave it to the pros like Bobby Knevil .
I too rode in the dirt not too long ago - KTM 125 and 450 all the way.
Presently I now have a converted 1200 Sportster - I set up for events and Rodeos.
I call it the Dirtster.
