I was glued to the TV at the Water Ski School in Orlando. A pompous-ass bitch from Boca Raton insisted on her ski session. I was pissed.....are you for real??? This is Pearl Harbor all over bitch.....well I said that to myself :angry:

My wife was in Dallas on business also glued to the TV. She cancelled her airline reservations, kept the rental car and drove as far as New Orleans where I met-up with her and drove her the rest of the way home.

I was at Ft. Polk. We had just gotten activated for duty in Kosovo. So I was doing some jrtc. I had just past my first sergeant coming out of the px. He was all bowed up and told me to get back to the toc. When I got back I was informed that a plane had hit the 1st tower. So a couple of us ran back to where they had us sleeping at the time and grabbed a clock radio so's that we could see what was going on. Shortly after we turned it on the second plane hit. Shortly after that the whole base was locked down. Evidently there are some oil or gas lines that run through that area. The rest is history. Just over a year later I was pounding sand in Iraq.

I was one block from the White House. We were told sometime before 10:00 that we had to leave the building. It took me 6 hours to get home, a normal 45 minute trip. Listen to the news the whole way home, wishing I was in front of the Tv. I'm sure I was like everyone else, who couldn't beleive this was happing.
