Just the screen filter on the petcock on my bike. I know BD has issues with tank liners flaking off, but I check mine occassionally and there is rarely any debris in the screen.

I have a Pingel with braided hoses, I think it a good idea. It is simple to install and clean.

Yes, been running one now 3-4 years. Pingel, just be sure to get one that will flow enough fuel.

Assuming you have to remove the petcock to inspect the screen, what are you guys using on petcock threads for sealant?
And are braided hoses necessary to prevent vapor lock or just for looks?
Thanks.

Why would you not use a glass one? I've been running glass fuel filters, so I can see what's going on for the past 40 years on 20 or so bikes and more high performance cars. I'm running one on 2 10 second cars I'm running reight now. I was using one when I saw the flakes from my BD tank liner floating through the system. Don't see any reason not to use one and many reasons to do so.

Had a Pingel on my '99 Bulldog for the 12 years I had it, great filter that was easy to inspect and clean. Haven't put one on my K9 yet, but I am strongly considering one now that I removed my buddy's petcock from his K9 and saw all the flakes of tank liner stuck on the screen.

Fuel filter & thread sealant

I use a Pingel, also. Petcock filter doesn't keep all the crap out of the carb. For petcock thread sealant I use
