Do you bother with a warranty???

There is no warranty available. There is no Big Dog MFG anymore. If someone tells you differently, run, don't walk as fast as you can. If you are buying form a dealer(harley shop or other) and they offer a warranty, read the fine print very carefully. "Extended warrantys are used as a source of income for the seller"Others may have a different opinion, but this is mine. If you are getting ready to buy a Big Dog, post up the make and year and someone on here will tell you what to look out for. Welcome to the forum
Like pknowles said. An "extended warranty" will not replace the need to know your bike and at that point, you'll be miles ahead of any tech that is going to have to struggle with some restrictive warranty that they all hate.
There is a ton of information and smart folks here on the Forum -- mostly as a result of shops that can barely work on a Harley and have no clue about the Big Dogs.
I've got three bikes - I work on them all. I've been nothing but disappointed when any tech has tried to do anything on them (to include the HD -- just less so)
