Do the Kuryakyn Peg Adapters and foot pegs work/fit?

The rubber on my right foot peg is wearing, not real bad yet but I keep my eye open for a set to buy. With a new set selling on e-bay for $275 and a used set asking for $225 I was thinking about trying a set of Kuryakyn pegs with a heel rest and just switch both of them. Had a set on my Harley and they made a big difference. Kuryakyn rep. online said that these would work. Anybody ever try the Kuryakyn pegs?

My wife didn't like the stock rear pegs on my k9 so I bought some of the Kuryakyn peg adapters and a set of the Kuryakyn switchblade pegs. The problem I had with the peg adapters was that its not a tight fit with the stock clevis and no spacer. The BDM plastic spacers were to thick, I finally found some that would work. Not as good a fit as the stock pegs but it works. She likes the switchblade pegs. When she's not riding I take them off. I've had them for several years now and they have held up good. Kuryakyn may have made some adjustment since I bought my adapters.

Thanks Alan, with some different spacers/washers evething should work then. I might do this mod this winter. Wonder if there's any clearence problem with V&H pipes using the heel rest/switch blades?

I have Kuryakyn pegs on my '05 Mastiff and I love them. In my case, on my bike, the adapters worked perfectly, a simple bolt-on procedure. I'm using a different style peg than the ones you're thinking of using, though. I am also running V&H straight pipes, no clearance issues. In addition to making a first-rate product, I found their customer service very helpful. I recommend them highly.

I found a set of threaded pegs that I added a spacer/thread adapter to and just threaded into the upper clevis mount hole. Pegs I found used on ebay for ~$40 plus $3 in hardware.

Have them on both of mine no problems bolted right up, no spacers or any redesigning needed. Kuryakyn does list the pegs that will work with the adapters not all will. I opted to go with the wide pegs widow and zombie. I have not tried the heel rest models.

There a load of adapters on ebay.

I have those big dog adapters with the Zombie pegs (Part # 4471) on front. Mine came with the correct plastic spacers. You can rotate the pegs but be careful when tightening, I broke a bolt on mine and had to call and order another chrome bolt with the built in spike.




On the rear I have 2" offsets (Part # 4558) with mini-dagger pegs (Part # 7521). I didn't need the big dog adapters for the rear because I didn't use the stock clevis, I used the offset. You have to be careful when ordering offsets and make sure you get pegs to match, you dont want male-mount offsets and female-mount pegs. I had to buy longer bolts from the local hardware store for the offsets because the ones that come with them are basically for thin clamps, not the thick frame where I mounted mine.



In this one it's not the same pipes but it shows the offset better. About 2" up and 1.5" out.

I have those on my Chopper and when one side started failing, couldn't get to stay tightened, I called them and eventhough it had been 1.5 years, they send me a brand new set absolutely FREE to put back on my ride! So as some may refer to them as Chinese junk, they still stand behind their product 100%. Just make sure you have the right adaptors.
