Do 03 chopper pegs and grips fit 04 and newer?

Hi guys! I've been checking all over on the web and can't seem to find any aftermarket pegs or grips for my 03 RT Chopper. Do the 04 and up pegs and grips fit? Is there any other aftermarket places that sell parts for the 03 choppers?:bang:

I checked there and all the pegs and grips say either 04-present or not for 03 chopper.:bang:

then arnt 03 the same as hd,,many many mfgs for those

The 03 choppers can use the HD foot pegs and hand grips? What year HD's and any certain HD? Don't know much about HD's.

I think the earler models are the same as most HDs , some other members have earlier models thay should chimn in

I think 04 changed to bdm hand controls which means different grips,, 03 & earlier thay were same as HD,, as far as I can tell..

2003 and older BDM bikes take standard 1" grips, same as Harley.

pegs are same as late model HD.

I got an 03 Bulldog and I replaced the grips, levers, pegs and mirrors to aftermarket which are listed for Harley Davidson :2thumbs: 2004 to present are Big Dog specific accessories...

most parts intended for HD softails will fit your bike. 1" bars for the hand grips. There are not too many proprietary parts on the '03's.

Resurecting and old thread here and risk showing my stupidity...LOL.

I'm looking for peg options for my 03 chopper too. The Harley pegs are too small and the 04 and up are too big. Sounds like Little Red Riding Hood.

Here are some pics and someone can set me straight.

The mounts are Kuryakyn and are for reference.

The mount on the left is a typicaly HD.
The mount in the middle is for '04 and up.
The peg on the right is what's on my bike now and the toe peg.

Just an update here.

If you have Thunderheart forward controls, like a lot of '03 and older bikes, HD pegs will NOT fit. You have to get your pegs from TH.

I really thought I was losing my mind on this one.

I broke down and emailed TH tech support cause I figured that must be what's on my bike. They responded right back with this:

What your finding is correct, the HD peg pivot area is different. They are I believe aren't as tall, thick, or as wide in the pivot area. Our pegs have the recess in each side for a teflon washer so when you pivot the peg the aluminum doesn't gaud. We do have just a few options available, if you are interested you can contact Brooke (email address above) and she will send you some pictures of what we have. One more thing, sometimes these can be a pain to get apart. There is a stainless bushing the bolt goes through that must come out.
