If your familiar with the set up, why are the chrome bolts that go through the bracket and into the heads, hollow? The holes in the head seem to be "dead holes". At first I thought the heads might breath through them, and then with some further looking, nope. 06 117 S&S engine.

Snapped one of these chinese pieces of garbage bolts in the head.

Which bracket did you get? I got the dm 53 bracket with my spike and those bolts were solid. The older dogs breath through those so thats why they would be hollow for the older ones. My bike is an 06 so breaths through the vent tube as does yours. But all the bolts were solid that came with my kit

Get a set of Grabbits broken screw removers. Cheap n work well.

They are breathers for the 107s I have that setup on my 04 ridge

D&M makes a new type bolt for the bikes that require the breather its a slot on the side of the bolt instead of the hole through the center, which makes it a stronger bolt.

Thanks for the response. My heads seem to have blind holes, so I think what might be best is to substitute for a stainless 12 point or a solid chrome set of bolts.

They must have sent you the bracket for an 04

That is correct, look at my set up on the 107" Super Sidewinder with the Mikuni. The big egg looking things are breathers that use those wholes !
