Am thinking of dropping the cash for the set of chrome flame pegs and grips. I read a few post's on the quality (or lack of) of the chrome. Most of these were in 2008 timeframe. Anyone have opinion on the quality within the last few years. Product looks good but pictures on a website are only a fraction of the story.

Go for it, I have had mine for years and not a problem. I don't know the current policy from them today, but when Alex as around, he would replace them without a question if it was within a reasonable amount of time. I had a set of grips that went bad and I got a new set for free without having to return the used ones. I think the Company is now run by his wife or other heirs and quality is as good as ever, or at least it has been for me.

Hey JR how ya been man? My pegs, grips, and mirrors all came from XOPRODOX before Alex passed but the company seemed to be very reputable and the quality of mine, though not chrome, are excellent. I'd imagine if you don't like them they would take them back.

Picked up a new set about a month ago...initial quality is top notch...time will tell how they hold up. But, don't expect any issues...absolutely no blemishes. Here are a few pics...if you need a better look, just let me know and I'll shoot you a picture of what you're looking for.

Comfort...decent considering they're full chrome w/no rubber/padding. I've got about 1000 miles with them and have no complaints and they still look brand new. The curve in the pegs and grips work well holding your feet/hands under normal riding. Both grips and pegs will become a bit slippery if you hit rain. The etching to make the flames in the grips/pegs help with gripping/traction on both your hands and feet. If you like to run tight corners, the fully chrome pegs could be an issue. Although I run my dog pretty solidly and I've never had a foot move off, or even around on the foot peg. Although pricey, fitment and quality is evident. Given the options out there, I'd pull the trigger again if I had a do over.

Shipping was fast.. I was out of town when they came in the mail. They are great looking but will be putting them on tomorrow.

Brooks,
Can you send me the address and number of the folks that did your head work.. I read where you threw a valve earlier.... I might get my heads done this winter.
