DLX Prodox Grips

installed DLX Prodox grips and shift/brake pegs on my bike today. Pegs fit fine, but the grips have issues. These are supposedly made in the USA and the price reflects that but the quality says different. The ID of the grips do not fit the OD of the end of bars, I would guess their .030-.040 over size.
I built the ends of the bars up with tape to take up the slack. Then the cable ferrules would'nt fit into their bores on the throttle grip, they were .005 undersized. I took a dremel to those to remedy that situation. Maybe I just got a bad set,I have no idea how they QC their products, but if these weren't made in China they're sure kin to some made there.
Makes me worry about the quality of the chrome.

A thin once around layer of tape at the ends of the bars is what I did as well on mine, I think thats standard procedure for aftermarket grips. It took out the slack and also eliminated the pinging you might get going down the road from them hitting together.

Regarding the ferrules, I had no issue.

at this price point we should'nt be putting tape on our bars or dremeling out bores, $30.00 dollar China crap maybe, but not a set of $150.00 billet grips.

I had a problem with the chrome on my grips but they stood by the warrenty and sent me a new set. I used a little wheel bearing grease on bars to take up the slack and to keep them lubed.

In the stock grips there were sleeves that were able to be pulled out to make up the difference for the grip fitment. If you still have them take a look in them to see if they are in there. Careful removing them.

Ringo, I put the dlx grips on before I came to PCB and they fit perfect , no tape or issues at all. I got the chrome non pointy ,but textered grips. Wonder what the deal is with them not fitting correctly?

yep Dave and thats how they should fit, this putting tape on and what not is bull-shit.
My ferrules would'nt even fit, appears the diameter was correct before being chromed. This guy has QC issues for sure, mine are crap, your's fit perfectly
