Disrespectful posts (revised title)

I can't find the hug icon anywhere! 
I think that both Ray and Gas make some very good points, but are focusing in somewhat different areas of the what and how-to.
Personally, I believe that given the state our present economy, and the crazy things going on in relationship to it, puts undue pressures on everyone, with everything in all walks of our lives.
Now I understand and agree with Gas's point of ones ability in posting a bad experience with someplace or someone, to warn other brothers here on "our" site. But however, I understand and agree with Ray that the post should be made in a professional manner, not "directly" insulting or attacking someone or someplace. That can be construed or even misconstrued as "slander"! And that would give someone legal grounds to pursue whatever action they might wish. So what I think Ray is saying, correct me if I'm wrong, lets us "not" open that door for someone!
And even if one puts out, what is considered, to be a professional warning, rather than a bitch & grip or rant. The readers are always going to be more prone to take the advise of previous than the ranting of the later.
But we don't need to lower "ourselves" to their level just to get our point across, we're better than that! :2thumbs:
We prove it on here most everyday in our friendships, our willingness to help not only each other, but the new members that show up as well. That's if they do it right.
But I think it shows also in "our" abilities as a group, to have and to share the knowledge on "how-to" repair our bikes, when some of the others (pros) out there can't!!! And if they can't figure something out, where do you think they look?.....Right Here!....Why?....Because this is where the answers are! :2thumbs:

I come to this site to connect with friends of a common interest. I want to learn about where to ride, problems experienced with various BD models & parts, meet-up, I want to chat about Bikes & Biker Babes…..I also what to hear about problem dealerships, those to go and those to stay away. What offends me are Raggers and Bullies. I don’t come here for off-topics like Assholes in Washington or political views, and I don’t come here to be called stupid. There have been very few “offensive threads” When they occur the mods are on it. Thanks for the reminder Ray :up:

Thanks Ray for posting this, I have been getting tired of all the negative posts as well. I think their will always be those that have bad things to say and if it is deserved they need to think about what they say before posting it.

its just a $30,000 bike,god forbid some of these guys bought a freakin maserati or something,i guess it would then entitle them free trips to italy to see the factory with the red carpet rolled out for them and god forbid they werent called by their name,nor was a man servant flown in to wash it for them every other day......buying a $30,000 bike now a days is most of these guys lil red corvette during their mid life crisis period and the only tools they own is the tool pouch that came with the bike for an extra $69.99 and if them tools dont fix the bike theirselves well theres gonna be hell to pay cause dont we know who this guy is??????????.
i have had my issues with the bike in the ending of the 2 year warranty and BDM stood behind everything so i dont have no bitching to do to them,in every aspect of life we will have people that fall short in their job functions,some dealerships will be better than others and some people are just pricks and think theyre entitled...and we have this day in and day out of our daily lives...dealer ship sucks......change dealerships

Yea, you would have thought that some of these guys took their life savings, or refinanced their home, or worse yet, that they took all their money out of their retirement to buy one of these bikes and it is the last good thing that the Bank won't find when they come repo their home !!!!

As a fairly new member and a new (used) Dog owner and as a state worker ( cheap labor) i cant afford the new gadgets and go on the rides of a life time yet. But being out in west Texas where their are not many of us to gather without riding for hours to see another Dog, i am glad to have this as my only link to you guys that tell me the stories and show me the pictures of the real bike world. So what a person has a bad experience with a company, who hasnt. i move on and find another one thats willing to help. i had to drive 150 miles just to get a tire changed. they were great and even gave me some free bolts for my engine mounts. i could not work on this bike without Ray, Gasman, Biker Babe and all you other guys that post your problems and fixes. Dont let this site turn to Crap. i wont be able to survive without you....I know get a tissue and wipe my ass///
