Diamond cut motor ?

My K-9 is coming from Strokers Dallas and should be here soon. I was told this bike has the diamond cut motor in it. This motor was a leftover motor from the limited edition K-9 model and just happened to be put in this particular bike when it was built, but my bike itself is not a limited edition K-9. Is this motor the same as the regular motor you would find in a K-9, but just having a different appearance ? From the pictures I've seen, the motor itself looks like it has black powder coating between the fins and the fins themselves have ridges in them. Sorry to be such a noob here.

Don't know what u mean by "regular" motor. Looks like u are getting a 117 with an upgrade(diamond cut). Whatever the story is behind this bike, it sure is sweet. Hope u enjoy.

I wish they'd done this with the Anniversary Bikes - it would have looked great and gone well with the color schemes.

I think it looks cool, wish they would have done that with mine. An orange bike with black flames and blacked out motor with diamond cut heads would have been sweet looking. You got a sweet deal there...:2thumbs:

Good for you Chris, that is quite a score. I have the limited edtion and yeah my motor looks just like that with the black powder coating a diamond cut fins. I have added diamond cut oil cooler and stash tube, diamond cut D&M spike air cleaner, and a diamond cut K&P oil filter. BLING DITTY BLING man. I love the way mine looks!

I feel your pain, brother. I bought mine while away from home working and had to wait over two months before I could finally see it and ride it. IT WAS TORTURE. I'm sure the dealer was tired of sending me pictures by the time I finally got it. You will not be disappointed. Post some pics when you get it home.

I have the diamond cut engine in my bike too; 08 Mastiff LE. It's the same 117 as all of the current BD's but with cosmetic upgrades. It's also black just like the one in the photos above by 1BADK9. It's a sharp looking engine.
