I have a 2007 Chopper. My clutch cable part number is BDM 111-000003-00. I cannot acquire the length of my cable from Big Dog. They will only provide the part number and selling price. Can anyone please advise me the length of my clutch cable?? There is currently Big Dog 62" and 70" braided cables on ebay for a good price. My current cable is about broken and I need to order one asap. My mechanic has it holding together with loc-tite, so I dont miss any riding. Thanks

just measured the one that came off my K9 that broke (some day i will send it back to barnette) and it measures 72". chopper, since it is a little shorter, MAY be the 70". ray may know if the '07 and the '05 are the same.

Send you old back to Barnett and they will fix it for free.

I don't know for sure, should be the same but could be a difference from the three different frames they used on the Chopper model.

Bigwakerider my advice to you is make sure you have the correct size instead of just guessing. Bdm or any other suppliers won't tell you the length because they know you will go to Barnett and they will lose business. Send it to Barnett and have them give you the specs for next time. I've been through it with BDM. They sent me a cable that was very close length to what I had but it was for a carb and I have an EFI. Oh BTW it was their fault and I ended up paying an over inflated cost to cover their screw up.

I was just trying to see if you folks could help me out, without paying my mechanic to remove, measure and then reinstall a partially broken cable...as I stated, I don't want to lose any riding time, nor waste money on unecessary labor if anyone here has an answer.

The replacement cable for my 2007 K9 that i got from a dealer when they were still in business is BDM 111-000001-00. It is 67" long.

No need to remove it. Tape a piece of string at the control lever and follow the cable to the cover. Piece of tape there and measure between the tape. It should get you there.

Interesting. I will have to try that,so that I have a spare. Mine broke,I replaced it,then the replacement broke about a month later. I saved the second one. I asked the dealer if there was any warranty on them, and they said they've tried to send them in before, and barnett told them to pound sand.
