Using this thread for a Delmarva 2013 roll call. I have never been to this event and trying to decide if it is worth while gong. Who is going or thinking about going this year? Comments on last experience and best places to stay.

We went last year for a overnighter, It's a lot going on and spread out over 3 different cities. If you are going, you might want to check the hotels outside the major cities. They are booking fast at a high rate. I got 3 rooms at the Hampton inn in Seaford for 129 a night. 6 of us are riding up Friday the 13th. coming back Sunday 15th. If you are into the heavy drinking/partying, you might want to pay the higher rate and get closer to the action.

Just watch out for the police...last year was real real bad...people getting pulled over for helmets...high aps...verticle tags etc...than you know what happens next? click click for drinking. Be careful to all and enjoy

I live in Baltimore,MD and have went for a good percentage of the time for the past 10 or so years and if you never been and like the beach and traffic and bars on every corner and buying junk from vendors, well this might be your venue.....They have just started adding music acts that maybe some have heard of before, but nothing at all like the bands at Sturgis...we now stay at a campground, relax,go have a seafood dinner,go for long backroads coastal rides up and down the coastline...all because we dont drink....Definately listen to Dogestyle about the police situation..harder on bikers than terrorists ....All in all its a nice time for us cause its not that far....Any event is what you make it and the company you keep....I come home relaxed, with good stories and the crap wiped outta my brain....a nice therapeutic riding situation...

Marv, I'm also with Moe. We ride down from s. Jersey on Thursday morning. We make it an all day ride. Last year it took us about 10 hours to make the 3 hour ride. Great times

We had a great three days hanging out on the west side(highway 13) of the action. couldn't beat it until we started to leave Sunday morning an a chip off the starter bendex teeth got hung up in my clutch basket and wouldn't let it release. Had to tear it down if front of the Advance Auto store. They loaned me the tools that I didn't have and about two hours and we were back on the road. All's well that ends well.
