Hello all, I had to sell my 05 Chopper in the spring due to unforseen problems. I had enough money left over to buy a 2001 Road King in great shape for 6500. Bike is mint and now I found a guy who wants to trade his 2002 Pitbull straight up in mint shape only 6000 miles. I know it's quite a different feel as my friend has one. I miss my dog. Question is, does the 2002 have any different issues than other dogs of 05 and up. Can I put a sissy bar on it? I se a screw holding the seat down,I canstill put a pillon pad down. I'm getting a little excited about coming back to be a Dog owner. Thanks for any input.Pictures attached.

Nice!!!! :2thumbs:

DO IT!!!!:lol::lol::lol:

You can get a P-Pad for the bike and as far as the sissy bar, don't know why you wouldn't be able to get one or even have one fabricated for you.

Good luck with the choice you make.:up:

Sure looks like a Good Dog. I haven't owned a bike yet that didn't have some issues. Once I fixed them, all was great. Just my experience. Take her for a ride if you haven't yet and see how she runs and feels.

My first thoughts would be, can your body/back take the change in ride?

You say you know it's a different feel and it's okay for a spin around the block but 200-300 miles on a rigid does a number on some people.

Good luck whatever way you go.

good looking bike.question is do you just ride locally.if not there is no way the only bike I owned was a rigid vs a road king.the road king is one of my favorite bikes.i owned one for several years.two very different bikes made for very different purpose. buy the dog for bar hopping and keep the roadking.:cheers:

2002 Pitbull

Right now I don't plan on doing any traveling by Bike. My backs in good shape now. Yeah I know the Pitbull is a harder ride and I'm good with that. Wish I could afford 2 bikes that would be nice. I'm going to pull the trigger Tuesday on the swap. I love these bikes for the power and the looks. I just have to hear from someone who has that year Pitbull with a sissy bar and how they did it. The wife would appreciate that. Can I change out the struts and if so,anyone know where to get them?

Thanks,Cliff

That looks like an early '04 with parts from the '03. Mad Clown wheels. LifeRider has an '04 like that. I beleive someone told me that Thunder Heart made the EHC back then and there were little problems with them. Good Luck on the decision. :2thumbs:
