Ok - not sure if I should start a new post or add to this one...but you guys seem to know what you're talking about. I am a new member - 2007 Bulldog. My speedometer has been intermittent. It works sometimes only after I shut the bike down and restart. This AM, I was in a hurry, noticed the speedo was at 0 MPH, shut down and quickly fired her back up. Still no reading so I tried to do it again...this time - no starter engagement...nothing. DEAD. Any suggestions?

What you need to do is wait about 5 seconds after you turn the key on. The speedo does a sweep from 0 to 60 and back to 0. Then you should start the Dog. If you don't wait for the speedo to complete its cycle your speedo will not work. It seems to me that you ran the battery down by start it and restarting it. You if don't already use a battery tender, I would strongly suggest you get one. The other thing if you are in a hurry, but have time to start the bike two or three times to get the speedo to work, then you should have at least 5 seconds in your schedule to let the speedo complete its cycle before you start it.

Hope that helps

Carlos
