Hopefully they will be getting some much needed rest!

Thanks for all the comments and especially for Kathy's help listening to all my bitching.
What happened is when the tech fixed Kapt' broken battery box they relocated his ignition module to the outside of the box and it rubbed against the new metal brackets that were epoxyed in for reinforcement. This shorted out his ignition and blew his battery. So he ran into the nearest town and found an Orielly's auto and luckily they had one. We put it in and at this point we didn't know about the ignition module issue. So when we installed the wires it tried to start the engine with the key in off and then started sparking and melted the lugs before we could pull the negative off. So we pull the side covers and find the module issue. Next we relocated it and then tested it again and it had dried the EHC. So I pulled my spare and put it in and it started up.
At this point we had been on the side of the road for about there hours and were drenched and dehydrated so we went back into town and drank a LOT of water. We head out again and get to Celeste TX and get pulled over for speeding. 62 in a 40. Swear we didn't see a sign but we had been doing 85 on the 55 mph Hwy-69. The road was aggressively bumpy and hurt us body wise! After the cop was gone we get already to leave and Kapt goes to pressurized his air ride and nothing. We find out his shock had broken at the rear boss. He had noticed coming through this town and had intention of pulling over to. Check it out but the cop got us first.
So after sitting there in the dark wondering what we are going to do we decide to wire I up with bailing wire and are if it can be ridden. The other shock was dead also and didn't provide any suspension so probably was already shot. We still had 86 miles to go by GPS which turned out to be much more by our tripometer! So he's riding an unsuspended bike now on terrible roads and it beats him up pretty good. We finally get in about 1230 and are shot after a long day. We were beat, battered, dehydrated, violated (ticket), arrived in a lighting storm, and completely drained. It had been an adventurous day for sure.
Now we have to figure a way to get it from out here in the boonies into Strokers to get it fixed. It had sheared off the bolts so will require some surgery to fix it. We are about 100 east of Dallas in a place called Holly lake or something like that. Will know more tomorrow.
Thanks again to all those that were trying to help and to Kathy for being my sounding text board as we had each issue.
Will update when we get it to Dallas. At least we

That is one hell of a route from OKC to Dallas. You guys are for real for sure. It would have been AAA towing and a credit card for me....Ray carries a spare EHC?

I just wanta ride
Now thats what you call true hard core bikers. Rode hard and put up beat, battered, dehydrated, violated (ticket), arrived in a lighting storm, and completely drained. I hope the rest of the trip goes well.

I had access to a trailer and time to get them, but I was having Internet issues yesterday and just found out about it today. Had I known I could have trailered it to Strokers.
