dead cell batterys???????

I have a 2006 pitbull, over the past year i have went through 6 interstate batterys all having a dead cell. i have replaced the starter, and the ignition coil module. the guys at interstate says something is causing this issue. I was thinking of getting the wire plus harness, but if i can save 519 dollars that would be great. tell me what you think guys, i would really appreciate it

Interstate batteries won't hand the 117 deka or better. Really don't think wireplus will help on that issue your engines still gonna need the cranking amps to start...I put a deka in mine 3 yrs ago with no battery tender ( I know that's stupid) no problems knock on wood. Good luck peace

Interstate for our bikes are made by YUASA. I put an Interstate in mine 3 years ago. In a couple of weeks it showed a dead cell. It was one that you added the liquid to it yourself before install. I swapped it out for a factory filled battery. It lasted 3 years (almost to the day). I replaced it with another factory filled Interstate last week. The Deka batteries are supposed to be good. If you do not buy the Deka "brand" because there is not a dealer near you-you can get the same battery at O'reillys auto. The battery even has the same battery stock number as the Deka brand. Deka makes the Harley battery as well. HOWEVER-on the Deka site it plainly states the Deka (labeled) battery does not meet Harley specs. (I guess because it does not have a Harley label-who knows). Also, Deka makes a couple of the "high-end" batteries mentioned on this site and elsewhere. The warranties are different on the various battery manufacturers.

Deka ETX20L I think is the number. 310 CCA Deka makes Magna Power that you can get at Advanced Auto Parts also same number

or get a Braille

I purchased an Interstate last year. Lasted about 3 months. Purchased a Braille. So far, so good. It's less than a year old, but has far outlasted most other batteries I have had prior. My wife's Mastiff has had a HD battery for over 2 years and still going strong. Go with what you know, and for me, it's not Interstate. BTW, mine was factory filled. Could just be my shitty luck too.

Stock battery lasted me a little over 4 years. Can't complain about that! Interstate sealed lasted about 4 weeks before the "no start gremlins" started. Had it tested in two different locations that said it was good (but not good enough). Got tired of the jump box every time I wanted to take my K-9 out. After reading hundreds of posts on this site went with the Braille (group buy) & have had nothing but smooth sailing since. $150 gave me peace of mind & sure starts every time since I got it. Plenty of CCA & plenty of happy dog owners will tell you the same.
