The blue wire from the ECM that goes to the stop button the hand controls should only have 5 volts dc. all the hand controls and the key switch and the brake switches work on 5v on the 2005 and later Dogs. They work on a negative command signal.
you are not going to get anything out of the ECM till you hit the run button after you turn on the key.
turn on the key, then watch your speedo, it should go to straight up then back to zero. then hit the run button and you should get one red light on the ECM. sometimes you have to hit the stop button and then the run button.
when this light comes on you should get 12 volts at the ignition module first then the ignition module feeds the coil 12v. your headlight should also come on, that's right you can't turn the light off, so the battery has to run the headlight and the starter.
most every ground comes back to the battery or the ECM so check those carefully.
