Does anyone have, or know anything about the daytona twin tech ignition model 1005?? I'm trying to get to the bottom of how to set the initial timing on the module itself. The directions are pathetic and the guy on the phone doesn't know shit. I'm trying to figure out which way to rotate to module to advance/ retard. Ccw to advance cw to retard is what I've been told

Did you set front cylinder TDC compression and rotate the module clockwise tilll the status light went out to set you're initial timing?

What he said.

Watt I say. If I stand on one side of the bike, I need to kick it over, set it in gear and push forward, or hit the starter; I now know my engine rotation no matter where I stand, nor where they set the ignition.

Retard is before TDC. I move in the opposite to understand retard or before TDC. For every action, there is an opposite and equal is one rotation, shows you the other rotation as where to turn.

"... till the status light goes out..." says; I am a copy H-D. I set my plate in the middle. I set my TDC. I am so close to breaking that cup with the cut in it. I am going to nail that... "Leading edge of the window... Or trailing edge of the window ," I am breaking the signal is why the light comes on. I want to find my leading edge and line up the hall effect at that window opening.

Basically, that is what you are lining up, where, weedont need no stink'inn directions. Is the light ON or OFF? And no one is home sort of make sense how and watt you are looking for in the generic? Walk up to any bike and light that puppy off? Where is BB?

I wish I had more money.
I don't have that system. But I did find the directions online. They say to find tdc on the front cylinder and turn it clockwise until the light goes out.

That's static timing which is fine for stock

A step further would be dynamic timed with a timing light

Got mine at 28 degrees BTDC

I have a 2KI dynatek
