Daytech Frames

My 03 was a Rolling Thunder and Daytec was available through 06 I believe. BD makes there own frames now but Daytec is still making some frames but can't remember which model.
My 05 is a Rolling Thunder also and Daytecs were available. Difference if I remember is in the front motormount and the regulator is mounted under instead of in front. Some say they have a shorter reach on the pegs.
Rolling Thunder had a bad recall in 03 where all the frames on the Chopper had to be re-welded under the tank due to breakage.
I personaly wouldn't worry about what frame you want and just get one that has been treated well.

Yep as raywood said there were 2 options on frames in 04 rolling thunder and daytec. I like the daytec better personally vr mount under the motor mount and the rear swingarm has some subtle differences like the rear section is a smooth radius instead of a sharper corner. Also maybe you can score an 04 with the optional 117 as well.

I know if you need a Daytec frame for your motorcycle you'll need to wait about 3mos for the fucking thing to get in.

My Chopper is an 03 w/daytec frame. It was a late production, right at the time they had some problems with the Rolling Thunder frame. I heard starting in 04 you had a choice....a couple hundred dollars got you a Daytec.....the model number identified as such, by the -D. I'm sure RT corrected what ever problem they had and one is a good as the other.
