Dash removal

05 pit bull any one have any experience with removing the dash? Just want to make sure I don't crack anything.

One bolt by the seat one on the annunciator. Lift the annunciator and unplug it. Dash should lift right off.

Mine has two hex bolts up front and one 7/16" accessed from the back. The front ones are easy, go to the front of the gas tank and follow that up under the dash. One on each side. You get to the one on the rear after removing the seat. It's probably 4 or 5" up under the dash so you'll need an extension. That nut is actually holding a pin that goes through a rubber grommet. Loosen it about a turn after removing the fronts and lift the dash up and toward the front of the bike to get the dash off that pin. Then unplug speedo and annunciator and you're done.
