Dangerous Country Roads

Well I almost killed the famous GAS MAN last night. While riding home from a local bike night and having a few cocktails at the red neck adult enterainment club, I hit a metal gas can as I came around a dark country road corner at 65 miles and hour. Gas was riding just behind me to my right, I tryed to miss the can but it attacked my right foot peg and caught Gas under his right side floor board. Norm the other rider behind us saw this entire potential disaster unfold. He said he was waiting to see the spark and then who knows what from that gas can, but no spark just a few minor scratches to the under side of our bikes. Holy shit, another close call, thank the big guy above. I would have felt horrible taking out another rider, can't think of anything worse. Just a couple weeks ago PIG PEN hit a big racoon riding home from the same bike night, watch out for the dangerous country roads!

Glad you guys are OK! Did you leave that can there on your way to the titty bar just in case you ran out on the way back, and forgot about it? Get "sticky notes" and place on your bike.:cheers::eek:

Wow! Close call. Glad you're all OK. Night riding and reduced visibility is scary sometimes!

Hell yeah you did! I had to ask Norm if the can went in front of my front tire or behind it. I was white knuckled squeezing the bars... just waiting for the impact. 65mph dark country road.. I just had nothing to do. Any reaction would have been bad. The can was coming from my left so that would be bad to swerve towards it and to my right was a very gravel covered shoulder... BAD! Just held on and waited for impact. But nothing... just a big hit to the floor board and gas all over the right side lower fairing! MOTHERFUCKER!

We were all pretty wound up when we got to the next stop sign... stopped for gas and were checking out the bikes. Couldn't freakin believe it!
