OK guys, it can't be that hard! LOL So if you may have seen my other thread, I was having some problems with what I THOUGHT was my ignition switch. The bike would basically stay on no matter which position the switch was on. I replaced it with a new stock one and I thought I was good, it seemed to all work great.
Until 2 days later I go out and everythings dead. Plug charger in, and same problem happens. Its all on no matter what position the switch is in. So I take the ground off and charge it. I go out to mess with it today and everythings on no matter where the key is. Bike fires right up. ALL of a sudden, the key is working!!! WOW WTF I am now down at my shop, put about 15 miles on her, everything seems good. stopped a couple times, the key is working perfect. ALL of the functions on the bike (horn, signals etc) are working, and have worked even when the key was acting up.
Could there be something simple I am missing?? I have checked all connections and grounds, to the best of my knowledge.
Could the EHC just be wacked? It was on a pretty wet ride before it broke, could this have broken something? I am gonna hop on it and go home now, but I'm hesitant to even leave the battery hooked up in case it wants to "TURN ON" again by itself.
Is there any specific "re-learning" process when reconnecting anything?
I have searched the forums for a problem like this, with no luck.
I really appreciate anymore input y'all have. I'm saving up for the EHC replacement, but would still love to ride it ya know!!
