Damn Batteries!

So this is the 3rd Interstate battery that went TOTALLY dead (fist two broke plates) and not sure on this one. All are within a month old. This last one had less than 100 miles on it. Im double checking VR and Stator in a min just to make sure charging system is ok.. the battery totally shut down bike as it went to 0... now wont accept a charge above 9%....
I tried the lithium ion batteries as well, but they dont seem to be happy in the BDs in my experience. I have a full charge on it and when i hook it up all i get is a buzzing sound. Yes i have tried turning key off , waiting, trying again. Still nothing... Borrowed an Odysee battery from a buddy and it spun right over without issue. Maddening as my lithium ion was EXPENSIVE! I am running a relatively new wires plus harness....
Anything i am missing please let me know. Getting pissed off at getting stranded and losing confidence in the bike.

I just use the Harley softtail battery (ALWAYS hooked up to a battery tender), I get three years or so out of them, only around $100. Not sure of the cca, but it turns over the instant I hit the start button. Every time.

Looking forward to retirement
Ok, here is the Gospel truth about interstate batteries. They have the thinnest lead plates of any battery made! We could not keep them in drilling equipment. The big 8-D & 4-D batteries would only last 60-90 days. Finally we went to another brand and that's when our new supplier had cut outs of different batteries and showed us how thin Interstates lead plates are! POS!

Yup agreed on interstate.... Got an odyssey.
Now when I turn key on I cannot get ignition.... I pull the 40amp fuse, it sounds like it resets a relay then it will turn over like a damn, but not run.... I did get it to fire but runs like shit n huge over rich! Then turn it off...let it sit 3 min and will not crank....have to do the fuse thing again....
ARGH,,,,,,,,,PISSED
LOL THE GF just said crank position sensor? She may be on to something! N she brought vodka tonic down for me....

Ok....changed air filter back to original old shitty dirty one n it fires right up. Took brand new wimmer off n it fires right up.....wtf!
Still having same issue with no ignition after it sits for 3 min...also I noticed my headlight does not light up. When head light is on after reset on fuse it starts, when wait 3 min n try to start the headlight is off n it won't start either. Eliminated headlight all together in wiring in case of short, but no change

Checked vr... it shows good. Checked stator and at 2000rpm only shows 31.8V (not reccomended 32-40) think it is bad.
I still dont get why i cannot get it to start unless i pull the 40 amp fuse after it sits for 3 min. From what i have researched on the schematics it is the Starter/headlight/ignition relay that keeps tripping. So my deduction would be a short somewhere in headlight or ignition wiring?
N right before sturgis!
