Dakota Digital Issie

Anyone with a Dakota digital notice the digits on the display appear to float around? At about 3000 rpm my display appears as if the digits are actually floating around a bit. Don't know how else to describe it...

Yup I got a video of it I will try to post...... but I think it was my eyeballs and the camera jumpin around at 95 mph!!!!

without seeing it for sure, I'd step out on a limb and say it may be a visual illusion. I sometimes see it on computer screens at work with vibrations.

If you guys think there is a bonified issue with the readout don't hesitate to call Dakota's Tech. Support. 1-800-593-4160 They will want to know about it. I'm kinda with Marc on this though. Sometimes vibrations can cause visual illusions. Keep me posted.

You'll find it's the vibrations and at certain RPMs (harmonics) the illusion is more noticeable with anything using LEDS. At 4800 when not moving, my Rear LED strip looks like it's going to fly off the bike....

Noticed it a time or two on mine...wear briefs pulled up high and the illusion will go away.

I had the same issue with mine and found BD made a replacement speedo mount that is wider and cuts down on the shaking, installed it and problem solved.

If the 07 Bulldog came with a dakota speedometer i had the same problem. Sent it back to the shop and the bezel ring?? was loose. Got it back and the illusion went away.

Solw down to mach 1 or in miles per hour:761 mph it will stop the shaking

I see the same thing on my factory speedo...The whole face shifts around at certain rpm's.
