Hey guys I have an 06 pit with the br 2 into 2 pipes with custom baffles. My question is I have a d&d two into one off an iron horse. Is that a good pipe? Is it worth putting on over my br pipes? I will have to more than likely fab a bracket but no big deal. Any opinions appriciated. Thanks a lot!!

All you can do is install it and base your own opinion. Will it fit seeing as that your Pit has a fatter ass end then your Horse?

Work from there Brian and if it works out for you, post some pics so that we can all check it out.

I have it on my AIH Texas Chopper. The pipe sounds good and makes good power. The primaries stick out farther than I like, but not enough to do anything about it.

If you remove the baffle it is loud as......well louder than I could stand. I had a shop find a baffle and install it. It is now probably too quiet for most, but I like it and that is what counts.

The pipes fit they were made for the bike. It sounds ok its a little quiet. Maybe I will look into the big city thunder baffles and see if they make one for this pipe. Ill try and attach some pics

Love it! I have that exact pipe (Fatcat) on my Fatboy and LOVE it. Makes great power, sounds great, especially the on decel. Wish D&D made more for our bikes...

I LOVE the way it looks. It does not stick out far at all. It sits about about an inch away from the frame so it really does not stick out very far. It also sits up alot farther than my big radius 2into2 did so I dont have the scraping problem now. I had to dent the front pipe in just a tiny bit because it was hitting the front footpeg bracket where it bolts to the frame. I fabbed up a simple bracket to bolt the muffler to the frame mount. It looks factory. Im really happy with it just wish it was a little louder. Its very loud with the baffle out but sounds like crap.

Did you take the baffle out. My 111 sounded like a pro stocker without the baffle.

If you are used to the sound right next to your ear, take the baffle out and follow somebody. Your heart will stop when they drop the hammer.

At least that is what my bud said when he followed me to lunch one day.

Does the baffle have a plug like the Vance and hines 2 into 1? If so drill some holes in it and it'll wake it up a bit. Or maybe cut the baffle down some, just a few options if it's possible...:2thumbs:

If it is like mine it comes out with one bolt.

You could wrap it but it is fairly quiet just with the baffle in it.

Since it only has one bolt holding it in cutting it down might be a mistake as it has flanges at both ends to locate it in the pipe.

A shorter baffle might work.

Funny subjective thing....I liked the sound of the open pipe, but it wore on me when I rolled very far.

Not sure I like the look of the pipe on the chopper, but I don't want to get anything louder.

Like I said....it is all subjective.

A D&D Fatcat,and a D&D Borzilla(big motors),are 2 of the best power producing pipes available.:2thumbs:

I'm pretty sure it's the fatcat. The boarzilla has a bit more upward sweep to it. I could be wrong... it's happened once or twice, :)

Being that it came stock on an 08 American iron horse does that help anybody know which one it is? I did some research if it is the fat cat d&d makes a big bore baffle for it I. might look into getting.

I called D&D and turns out they made the 2-1 pipes for Ironhorse per ironhorse specs so there was really no info he could tell me about it. He said it was very similar to the fat cat but thats about it. I guess we will see how it does on the dyno. If im not happy Ill put my Big Radius two into two back on and see how that does.
