Cylinder heads

Just for giggles, I am thinking about having the heads redone this winter and was wondering what many of you have had done to your heads. What size valves and who did the work? Did the work help with more power? Let me know. Marc

I am currently having my spare set of head (bought on e-bay from shovelheadkicker) worked on by Larry's Motorcycle & Machine, Inc in Oak Lawn, IL. The heads will sport the 2.00 intake and 1.605 exhaust, ported and polished, new valve guides, milled .030 and new Valve the springs (Bob Woods W188-1200-10L) which are the springs Bob Woods recommended with his W6HF 650 lift cam. I should get the heads by the first part of next week and hope to have all my engine work done shortly thereafter :whoop: :D

I had my heads reworked by Sachs Race Bikes in Plantation Fla. John installed 2.250" intake valves, ported, polished the heads and intake, also milled
.040" from the heads. The valve springs are set up for .670" lift. We also are now using a .020" head gasket vs .054" ( again more compression).
