Custom Sissy Bar

Here are a couple more pics since I got the bike home. I haven't sent it to chrome because I had to decide if I thought it laid back too far or was just fine.
I think it is fine, tell me what you guys think?

Depends on what you intend to do with it - as a backrest for a passenger, it leans too far back, but as a support for bags, or just for looks, it is fine. My two-bits.

When the guys at Trotta build a bike with a sissy bar, they try to get the angle of the bar to match the angle of the front forks - I'd say you're about there - I'd leave it.

I didn't have intentions of useing it as a back rest, or at least the wife. She can get her own bike!:D

I thought that the bar needed to match the frame and fork angles as close as possible to look good.
I think I am leaving it the way it is!:D

Good call. I think it looks great!!!!

I know mine doesn't lean back... which is fine by me cause it looks great.

I just finished engraving a set of handlebars for Eric and shipped them back
this morning....
I will post some photos soon....
Let me tell you, up close,(with magnification!)
some of the cleanest work i've ever seen...
smooth welds and you could not tell where the seams were!
PLUS he's a great guy to deal with.
Eric gets thumbs up from me!!!

heather... they did turn out great!

Here's the pics

The bars are for his buell build

He didn't like the angle... so a quick cut, then new sleeves instead of welding. A sweet custom look and more comfortable bars.

New bars are done...now I need chrome...

My sissy plays two roles...one is too look awesome and the other is to support my bride when she's on the bike:job: . So I asked Eric to mimic the stock bar so I can use the pad when the wife is strapped on my back. Looks like he nailed it...can't wait to see it on my sled :whoop:

:2thumbs:

Eric rocks...
