quite honestly this is what you guys get for not goin with a prooven source that time and time again has been nothin but successful for us here on the forum, yous are told to research these things out quite easily by hitting the little search feature on the tool bar and you woulda have had endless posts on different bars eric has made for members,if we werent able to do them ourselves.....sorry to see you are having your problems....hopefully a lesson learned.....
Just ask Eric for what you want and he can make it, thats what custom means. If you want stock bolt on shit then keep your harley.
RC I know you have a sweet SG and know what custom is. But these boys are right. Eric can do anything. He's very talented and loves the work.

The quick disconnect for hd would be easy for him to duplicate.

I agree he is talented, but I am very busy at work (both a good and bad thing).

It was easy to click a couple of times and whip out the CC to have the stuff on it's way to me. Eric's site does not have that option. Again, good and bad thing. Good that it is all custom, bad that for an impulse buy.........

It was a psuedo impulse buy after I thought I had my engine fixed. Now I know it is not, it just does not like ambient temps over 95 degrees. :bang:

The delay in getting parts (according to them) is with their powder coater. I should have them Thursday/Friday so I can report back.

Hoping this thing doesn't look totally goofy on my bike.

B, You can buy the blocks on the Daytec website that can drilled and taped to your struts.
Posted here many times as an option for those that don't have receiver struts. :D
Hi Ray,
You had sent me a link for those a while back, when I was asking about alternitives to BDMs system.

Issue is, those blocks are not very strong if you want to use the bar for a pack, or even a rider to rest up against.
The ones I got from GIN are great, but the same issues with mounting them in a place where you can get the sissy bar to work. The Lights are where you would need to go, or you have to have the bar bend around the front of the lights, so you can have room for the P-pad.

See the drawing I did of how it would have to mount.

If Our fenders were steel and not plastic, we could mount them to the fender. Pain in the ass........

Yeah, problem is the stock struts at the rear are only a 1/2" thick or so. You don't have much room to work with.
Glad you found another option though. :2thumbs:

Got my stuff in.

Some small minor issues only a person as anal as I would probably notice.

The fit is good and the powder coating is some of the best I have seen.

As soon as it stops raining I will get some pix posted.

so far:

Fit/Finish A+

Quality vs. Cost A- (We are working out some small issues. Had it been perfect this would have been an A+)

Communication at first a D now that they are aware of the situation and are working to fix it B+
