Don't know much about elephant but gator hide down here in La. is pretty expensive. Currently I have a buddy of mine looking for some gator hide and found that it was way cheaper to just redo his seat in fake gator.

Want to say for for the amount he needed to do his seat, tool bag, passenger pad and pillion pad it was about $2300.00. That was just for the skin, installation not included.

What will you have to pay????? As if the life of one of Gods beautiful creatures isn't enough.

 Totally kidding!

I looked into a shark skin seat and it was in the $800 range, settled for some imatation shark that is simply an embossed pattern on cow ass. Still cost close to $400 for the rare and elusive psuedo-shark.

A friend of mine did mine a few years ago with fake gator skin and memory foam. He only charged me a $100.00 The seat is really comfortable and for the price I liked it.

Brook....seat looks good :2thumbs:
Thanks Alan my only complaint is that after a couple of years the red thread faded to PINK!!!!! And the day an asshole co-worker said nice pink seat Brooks, I went to work with a red sharpie pen and made it red again. :whoop:

I did my own seat, with elephant. I paid $110 for the skin, and olny had enough left over to wrap the brake and clutch levers. Elephant is a tough hide, and really hard to get strethed around the front and back of the seat. But it will out last the bike.
