Been using my Cruise Mate over a year now, Great product. The screw came out and I lost the handle & screw. Called Tom at Crusie Mate shipping me out a new handle & screw at no charge. Now thats Great Customer service:flag:

Tom also recommended a drop of Loctite on the screw

Broken Bolts:

Creative Cycle did the fix, got the old ones out pretty easy. Jim from Karata nor Doug from Creative would commit to why it happened.
Just to let all of you know that the 2 bolts broken in the Bailey bike were not the bolts supplied with the Karata Sustem,let it be known that they were replaced at the time of original install with "fastenal bolts".We at Karata supply hardware with our systems that are of the highest quality and proven not to shear or snap under correct installation.

Fastenal isn't a grade of bolt. Sounds like someone forgot to check the grade.
No one forgot to check the grade, only to mention the MFG. of said Bolts that were INSTALLED and that they were not provided by Karata

How many manufacters that build something like a belt drive do you reckon you can call up for support and get the owner to answer the phone and no who you are after callin a couple of times and be able to tell you what you got to do to get going ....thank you again Mr.Jim
