Creeping while clutch engaged?

I'm not a mechanic and leave that up to people w/ more confidence in their wrenching.

I have an 05' Ridgeback and when i hold in the clutch and put it in gear it seems to slightly creep on me. Not a strong roll but if i only have one foot on the ground it will roll forward slowly.

2 feet down and i can keep it from creeping forward.
Also the cables seem to hang really lose on the right handle grip. I assume their made this way so there's no tension and has some type of swivel or something to let it appear lose. I assume no issues here?

Any thoughts?

No prob. What I do is adjust it so that it engages shortly after mid way (clutch lever) then take it for a ride with the wrenches and make sure all gears are good.

since i don't have a bike lift or wheel chocks to level it in my garage is this going to be more of an issue. Not sure i trust my wife to sit on it and keep it from crushing me. :)

great i'll use the kickstand. I wasn't sure b/c that tutorial said to level the bike.

As for when the problem started occuring I hadn't made any mechanical or maintenance changes. Although I started feeling a difference in getting the bike into gear or into neutral much more difficult over a few months time span. I pinged this great msg board and was told to ease on the throttle and it would go into neutral at stop signs much easier which has worked like a charm.

The tutorial mentioned that doing the advertised adjustment would solve all those problems and also create peace in the middle east and world hunger so i'm ready to get it done.
