Couple of issues ??

I searched the forum looking for answers and came up short so here goes.
2005 BD chopper, when I bought the bike last month the neutral light worked fine, and the left turn signal worked. I have put about 1800 miles on it. The neutral light works sometimes, occasionally it's really dim but still on then others it doesn't light up at all. I started having to hit the button multiple times to get the left signal to work and now it will not work at all. All of the other buttons on the bars work fine. Is this the start of the EHC problems? Bad ground? Bad switch.

WATT you mention is a high resistance to a dim. Current is being dropped to ground to the wink and N. So I'd start at the 'Jobber' as in the winker first, but that's just me. That L side that does not work, could be from the EH. There too is a prong out of the EH that goes to the right winker.

A test light to the EH or it might be connector #7 being the main out of the EH? Check those wires out of the main connector. If you switch winker sides, test that other wire(s) out of the EH:
a. You know that the EH is not the problem if both sides wink.
b. You know the switch from right to left is not the switch down to those wires out of the EH.
c. You connect the connector back onto the EH and your problem begins.
d. You make a conclusion that the resistance is from some wire in that connector, not the EH.
e. You follow the left wink wire and it ties in with N. So both use that singe wire. One wire follows out of the dash pod and up to the left winker wire used as well. You remove or disconnect the N wire out of the loop.
f. You now notice the left winker begins to work, N is the current draw.
g. You reverse the variable and find the N lights up and the left winker is the current draw.

Those steps make sense? Find the wire diagram on the forum. Mine is too blurry I'm guessing who is tied to whom, but the steps still apply.

Yes the first day I got it. It poured on me. It worked after that though. Maybe 3rd time I rode it after that.

I would say wood butcher hit it... Same happened to me. Problem was inside the handgrip the board n connection got water/wet n caused short/bleeding through ground. I opened my grip dried it out and no more problems.....

Maybe the leak is at the left winker? Easier to see [first] if the left winker is wet/rusty behind the lens and see if you can pull the bulb and check the socket. I would think a month would dry things out but the rust sets in?

And is the board at the throttle housing part of the winker system? Good call woodb

You can always use the straw and squirt WD-40 in the buttons once in awhile. that will help keep out the moisture.
