Cost Of Chrome

Would anyone out there have a ballpark idea how much it would cost to rechrome a S&S top rocker box?

Call Atlas in Houston +1 (713) 697-3134 or Meclec in LA (559) 797-0101 and ask. I have used both with satisfactory results. If you have to have perfect ‘blue chrome’ for show, some members might have recommendations.

I did my TP rockers at Spacecoast Plating in Melbourne Florida. Thinking they were like $85 each. Give ‘em a call. She can probably give you a quote over the phone. Really nice work.

Do you remember the turn around time? Mine 03 could use a redo.

OK thanks for the info. I tried a place in Akron Ohio, but they needed to see the part. It's still on the bike. Thought maybe buying a half decent used one would be better. Don't have to be perfect. Other things on this bike have pitted. Just don't want to spend an arm and a leg on this. Thanks.

About 8 weeks as I recall. But they were super busy when I dropped them off. Other parts I have had done took only about 4 weeks. Merry Christmas up there in North Florida Bigdog Papa!

Is this the bike you saved from the basement?

Yes it is. It was in Florida for quite some time. Then his friend from PA decided to bring it up here. He put it up for sale, and that's how I got it. All in all, it is OK. Some things I just couldn't clean up enough so I did replace some items. Just don't want to put in more than it's worth.
