Riding in to work yesterday morning I had a motor cop tracking me for a couple miles .... I was walking easy through the gears trying not to be to loud ..... but I thought for sure I was going to get pulled over for my novelty helmet .... after a couple minutes the cop blew past me giving me a once over as he passed me .... No ticket cool  well to make a long story short I was in a shop a couple weeks back looking at DOT helmets... I took a picture with my camera phone of the DOT logo on the helmets ....took the picture home uploaded it on my computer, cropped it and printed it on an address label put some clear packaging tape over it cut it out and put them on my novelty helmet ....maybe thats why the cop didn't pull me over ...what do you think ? will it pass ?

Hard too say five five. Most cops around here can tell the difference in a true DOT helmet and a novelty with the DOT sticker.
If they want to pass out a prize they usually will find something. My brother was just cruising along minding his own business and was ticketed for illegal exhaust last week. It's Onondaga County Sheriff's be kind to bikers month!

There is a guy here in Arkansas That has his head shaved and the DOT tatooed on the back of his head...of course Arkansas is a non helmet state but still FUNNY either way

funny enough, I have a half helmet and hate stickers, so I took the DOT sticker off.......didn't realize that the police is checking that.
well, so far I was fine....won't put that darn sticker on.

Yup, for those of you with zero graphic talent or just no printer, they have sold for years on eBay for a couple of bucks. Bought a helmet once and for an extra 50 cents, they would put the sticker on for you.

Nice in-deed! I've worn a 1/2 DOT for the last 5 years. Got a non-dot and just can't get the thoughts through my head wearing it.........

Blah, Blah, Blah.......... It comes down to it we hate being told to wear our helmets. I hate the helmet law, if I wanna crush my grape on the asphalt then thats my business. How in the hell is my big fat melon gonna hurt someone else? I can understand making kids wear helmets.........

Gotta repeal that helmet law like we did here in PA a few years back. If I remember correctly CA was a state that did not require a helmet a few years back, what happened?

I like it five... I need to get me some DOT stickers for my novelties. Was getting pulled over like once every other week, but it was just profiling in my eyes because I was walking away with no tickets or reasons but excuses for pulling me over. Never been pulled over by a scooter patrol man was always a cage cop. Our state has passed the profiling law in which we were fighting for this past year and the pull overs seemed to quit. I did come in contact with a couple of sheriffs and they both just yelled out their windows nice bike and gave a thumbs up! They were cool... I wear a DOT helmet now but have 3 novelties that I love wearing because their light in weight and I don't sweat as much with them when it warms up. I might have to try the stickers...:2thumbs: We'll see how long it works for me...

I get pulled over at times so the cop can check out the scoot and they will say so, have also been felony stopped twice, was stopped another time for speeding(no ticket), (w/Raywood of course) and the cop informed me my personal plate is gonna give me issues, but really want to say I gotta believe a motor cop knows a true dot helmet from a novelty, odds are he was just running your numbers and checking out your fine scoot.
