Cool ride in

Got completely saturated this weekend as it rained (hard) all day Saturday and Sunday and I was out in it conducting a basic rider course for new motorcyclists. As always, have to take the Dawg because it just looks so good.

So this a.m., get up to head for work and still feel completely drenched. However, the skies are clear, the roads are dry (mostly) and the air is brisk. Head off to work with the temps hovering at 43 degrees. The dawg just wants to run in this fresh air. I swear the pipes sounded sharper, more defiant than usual.

Nice ride into work and with temps slated for the 60's and sunny later, it will be an even better ride back home.

Good way to start the day!

That's not brisk, that's cold my friend. I have to be honest, I rarely ride in temps less than 55 degrees. Then again I live in South Carolina so that only means a couple of months all year.

43's down right balmy for us northern boys. Left for work today with a slight chance of showers according to the LIAR er i mean weather man. Got 3 miles from work and the skies opened up. I got pounded. I've ridden in so much rain this year I will be renaming my ride "The Aqua King"

not enough time 4 riding
I picked up my Mastiff in January of 2007 and tried to get some miles on it before heading to Bike Week. Came back into the house after one ride wondering why I felt chilled and checked the weather. First time ever riding with the temperature in the twenties. Normally I try to avoid riding when the temperature goes below the mid thirties.

My riding season iz ramping up. While its true we can ride all year it’s not always the best of weather. 98 with 100% humidity and 65% chance of thunderstorms with a chance of 135mph winds can get a little old. I have had weeks that I cant get the bike down my 400’ dirt driveway then down the ½ mile down the dirt road. I love it when it get cold (below 50 here)…..:whoop:
