Control Body Wear From Clutch Lever- Is This Normal ?

Clutch Cable snapped last night right at the lever - a common, frustrating problem :bang: .

I will be ordering a new cable tomorrow and installing as soon as it arrives but, when removing the handlebar controls, I noticed there was quite a bit of scraping inside the control body on both the top and bottom - wondering if any others have seen this ?

I don't remember seeing that on mine but that doesn't mean its not there. I'm replacing my clutch cable soon will look out for that.

I would be interested to hear what you find when you get around to that change?

In the meantime, I still have about 1 month warranty time left so I'll call the dealer tomorrow when they open to see if this will be covered.

If it is not covered, I will just do the job myself so the only decision will be whether to try and grind out the damage or replace the part.

I also know now why my clutch pull was so hard.
