Do all BDM's have them? How do they work and where are they located?

No; manuals are drilled into the cylinder head next to spark plug, normally; electronic are located in center top of rocker boxes (stick your finger in hole to feel - late 2002/2003 on). You don't need them on a 107.

don't believe '01 was drilled. late '02 was the first drilled for the comp. rel. and due to short supply, they were not installed until '03. but, the '02 should be set up for the install, at least.
