MN, save your money. I have an aftermarket light on my bike and it works great. All you need to do is just run the wires back into the new bucket. No need to spend 500 on a Headwinds when you can get a Tradewinds or Adjure for half the price.

I've been looking at aftermarket lights on Ebay. I figured the same thing. My wires and plugs should fit thru the hole in just about any light.
I wouldn't even consider spending the bucks they want for a Headwinds.

Hey Ray... maybe we can move all our headlight talk. I noticed it is a FS thread.

I did the same thing with my aftermarket headlight. I got it off ebay but I sorta regret it. The mount had a nut & bolt setup sucks and their mount itself sucked balls so I had to have one made... So the ~$60 headlight plus ~$50 new mount plus chrome the new mount $40... $150 headlight. Cheaper than headwinds or eurocomponants (who designed the real version). Still had the crappy setup of a nut & bolt. Makes it harder to tighten than the threaded hole on each side and 2 bolts threading into the body of the headlight to tighten.

The cheap ebay stock mount

My custom made one

on the bike before chrome

But yeah i ran the stock wires into the bucket and then cut off the end and put on new ones
