Compensator Blues

Energy One
Hey I haven't posted anything in a long time but I got a 2002 bulldog and I had the motor rebuilt by somebody and I see it's got a leak must be tranny somewhere so I kind of pulled the cover off and try to remove the compensator nut for the breaker bar I heated it up to about 275 I had a j i m s stepped d e l r i n blocker and the upper compensator chain area but when I tried to loosen it the chain got right where it was going to hit the protrusion for the bolt on the inner primary I didn't want to crack the case so now I ordered a wedge bar kit to go across and hold the two gears I don't know first time ever worked on this shit but I suppose when I get that bar I'll heat it up again put an extension on it a pipe or something any other ideas would be appreciated

I may be wrong but I think you should be able to safely loosen that bolt with a good impact. The same cannot be said for tightening. And for some reason I’m thinking that may be a left hand thread situation, but don’t take my word for it because my memory fails me quite often, research it first.
