Cold weather - winterizing question

Here in SC the humidity and dew point is such that in the winter months (if you can call it that) moisture tends to bead up on just about any part of the bike. Even with bad weather we still have temps that will allow for at least a weekly ride. I'm not so much worried about the outside of the bike, I can just put an extra coat of wax and clean the chrome and coat it more often. It's the moisture in the tank and engine that I'm concerned with. I put about an ounce of stabil at every fill up in the tank and haven't noticed any problems. The real question, is it ok to run the seafoam in the engine, since it won't be put to bed for the winter? All my bikes sleep in a big outdoor shop, that doesn't have any temp control, and an earth floor. Will the seafoam help control any internal engine moisture? Or forget about it as long as it gets a nice weekly ride. Just got back from a ride 47 degrees, just got a little chilled. Never done anything with my other bike 'cept stabil with fill ups and ride.

I'm interested in hearing what people say about this as I never winterize anything. I just start it up at least once a week and let it run for a several minutes. I have heard where people prefer this method over draining the fuel and that kind of winterizing. I have also heard that just starting it up is bad as that does not "burn" off the condensation that forms internally.

Personnaly I just ride it when at all possible. I have to admit will stay off the roads if there is snow or ice down, but temp I have been able to deal with down to about 15 degrees.

When I know that I am not going to be able to ride for over a month, then change the oil, fill the gas tank and Stabil in, make sure the Battery Tender is fully working and hooked up, inflate the tires to 40 PSI and basically leave it like.

When taking it out, I change the oil again, give a total check of all bolts, wires, hoses, etc and then take it out and ride the carp out of it.

I use SeaFoam in everything..snowmobile..4-wheeler...lawn mower...etc......I have put it in the bike in the summer before(about 5 oz.) just to clean things out and use in the winter to keep the gas good...and never had any problems....every now and then I will dump a whole can in my gas tank in my truck too! it cleans out the injectors....good shit for sure!

I wouldn't use it in the motor. Its not intended to winterize the motor itself.

As far as the gas tank, just fill it all the way up.

For the motor, consider, just fogging the cylinders if you're worried about it.
