Clutch/Trans slip in 2nd

I have an 03 Pitbull.
Only in 2nd gear and just around 2k rpms, sometimes it feels like its slipping and then catching all of a sudden causing a jerking motion.

The only adjustments I've made was when I adjusted the push-rod last month.

Does this have anything to do with the adjustment I made OR is it a completely different issue?

when you adjusted the push rod, did you happen to pull it out and inspect the end of the rod for wear and re-grease it really well???? just thinkin' out loud.

Not sure how much difference in the procedure but your 03 is left side drive where 05 and later are right side drive. They have a completly different primary set up.

Anybody got the specs for 04 and earlier clutch adjustment?

I did not re-grease it, just adjusted it.. But I sure can.
Although, I hate to mess with the push-rod again unless i'm sure thats the problem because it was a pain to find the "sweet spot" while adjusting it.

And yes V, it is a left side drive.

next time you have the rod out, take a close look at the pointy end and see if there is any wear on it. the rod itself is case hardened and once the tip starts wearing, it will go quickly (FYI, the pointy end rests against the throwout bearing). and as far as greasing the rod, it goes through a small diameter opening and without the lube, it tends to get grooves worn around it and start squealing and could hang up a little. just file it in the back of your head for future reference.
