so my clutch on my 07 K9 has been slipping for awhile. I take it to KC Creations ( I know I am a dumbass) but I was trying to get them to cover it on a warranty since I only have 8300 miles on it. They will not even look at and try to take care of me. So I take it to Dyno Mikes. He builds the fastest street legal harleys around. He takes it apart and the plates are worn smooth but they are not burned or warped. So he calls the MFG of the clutch and they tell him it is a common problem. They said the clutch spring is too weak for the torque our big dogs put out. They recommend new kevlar plates and going with the medium spring instead of the factory spring. I will be getting it put on Monday and let you all know how it works.
By the way Dyno Mike sandblasted my old plates and put them back on for free and no slippage. Guess that would be too much for KC Creations to do for a customer who spends a lot of money at there place!!
So heads up all you 07 K9 owners.
