Clutch shifter sticking

Well, I got back from Daytona and noticed I had to put my toe under the shifter to pull it back up. It did this a few times then today it stuck almost every time I pressed down. I figure it may be sand from the beach in the fwd control but have not ripped it apart yet. Anything else I should be concerned about or looking for when I tear this down on Saturday?

Thanks.

:hi: check out the heim joints on the ends of the shifter linkage. clean and re-lube, or replace with new ones with brass inserts. also check on the alignment of the ends; should be within a few degrees of each other. :2thumbs:

No big deal - repack the grease - had to do it on mine cause not enough grease from the factory.

Same here not enought grease in the pivot for the shifter. Becareful with the grease seals. I also had to replace the heim joints, no problem since.

I went through a couple of the heim joints before the dealer figured it out. I was carrying lube and at every gas stop lubing the things, which worked to a certain extent. The dealership finally cleaned them off good and used anti-seize on them. This cleared the problem up and it has been all good since.
